SeaQuest Day Trips to Outer Barrier Reef

Tour Overview

SeaQuest is Divers Den’s value-focused outer Great Barrier Reef day trip, perfect if you want a big reef experience in a single day from Cairns. This tour is designed for mixed groups — snorkellers, first-time divers and certified divers can all travel together and enjoy the same two outer reef locations, with expert support throughout the day.

After departing from Cairns Marlin Marina, you’ll cruise around 90 minutes to the outer reef, where SeaQuest visits two carefully chosen sites selected from Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs. You’ll have up to four hours at the reef, with up to two snorkel or dive sessions. Expect colourful coral gardens and the chance to spot iconic reef life like turtles, stingrays, clownfish and giant Maori wrasse.

Onboard, SeaQuest includes air-conditioned indoor areas and hot freshwater showers for comfort between water sessions. The vessel also operates as a transfer boat during the day, adding an extra stop as part of the itinerary — while still delivering a solid outer reef experience with equipment, guidance, and meals included.
